Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Paquin) Horridge. She resided in Westerly for twenty years, formerly residing in Warwick. Joan was a winter resident of Naples, FL for twenty-two years.
A travel consultant for over thirty years, she was the owner of the former Jefferson Travel in Warwick.
Joan was the beloved mother of Diane E. DePalm and Cheryl J. Latos ; grandmother of Christopher DePalm, Emily and Rebecca Anderson; great-grandmother of Nolan James Casey; sister of Norma I. McDonald, George S., Raymond L., and the late William J. Horridge, Jr. She was the dear friend of the late Donald Button.
A. funeral service was held Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
