GREEN RIVER - Gary Dale Anderson, age 75, passed away April 19, 2016 in Price, Utah.

He was born February 18, 1941 in Price, Utah to Harold Smith and Ruby "Scott" Olsen Anderson. They raised him in Green River, Utah.

Gary served his country in the Army and to his last days was a patriot for his country.

Upon his return, he married Frankie Carbajal.

He loved nothing more in this world than his "beautiful bride" as he often referred to her.

Gary was a staple of the Green River business community where he worked for his father and eventually owned and operated Hal's Service and Gary's Chevron.

He was dedicated to servicing the people of Green River and the travelers as they passed through.

He was a family man first and foremost.

Gary is survived by his wife, Frankie Carbajal Anderson; sons, Jason (Kelly) Anderson, Jeremy (Zaneel) Anderson; brothers, Tim (Carol) Anderson and Tracy Anderson; nephew, Walter (Claire) Maldonado; grandchildren, Kassidy Anderson, Dawson Anderson, Kyle Anderson and Gavin Anderson; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Gary loved his younger brother's and spoke with them and about them often.

He also loved and cared for his wife's side of the family, normally hosting them yearly for weeks at a time as they came from Colorado and Michigan to visit.

Gary enjoyed the outdoors as an avid camper, motorcyclist, fisherman and hunter.

He enjoyed anything that had to do with family.

Gary enjoyed watching his boys play baseball and basketball through their high school careers.

He earned such high satisfaction while watching them become husbands and fathers.

However, being a Grandpa was his favorite. Whether it was talking to his grandchildren about academics, sports, achievements, or just plain old visiting with them. Grandpa Gary was a natural at loving, teaching and praising his grandchildren.

Gary will be sorely missed by family and friends and he leaves us all some amazing memories.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 , 11 a.m., at the Green River LDS Ward with the viewing beginning one hour prior to services.

Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery under the trusted care of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Gary online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
