LARNED - Cecelia R. Blackwell, 85, died Nov. 9, 2006, at the Lutheran Medical Center, Wheat Ridge, Colo. She was born June 19, 1921, in Red Lake Falls, Minn., the daughter of Mose and Lydia Patnode Emard. A resident of Arvada, Colo., since 2004, she was a former longtime resident of Larned. She was the former gift shop clerk for the Santa Fe Trail Center, Larned. She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served as past president of Sacred Heart Altar Society, both in Larned. On Sept. 12, 1941, she married Verne C. Blackwell in Bessemer, Mich. He died Aug. 21, 1991. Survivors include: three sons; two daughters; five brothers; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A family rosary will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery.
