AARON L. FLORA, 95, formerly of West Manchester, died Sunday, Sept. 21, at Mercy Siena Woods in Dayton after an extended illness. Born Jan. 18, 1902, in Dayton, he was the son of the late Henry and Susan (Denlinger) Flora, and had lived in Preble County most of his life. He was a retired farmer and painter, and was a member of Price's Creek Old German Baptist Church. His wife, Ruth (Leedy) Flora, died Oct. 4, 1980. Survivors include three sons, Gene Flora of Modesto, Calif., Richard Flora of Englewood and Robert Flora of Clayton; one daughter, Betty Avery of New Lebanon; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi Bowman; two grandchildren; three brothers, John, Amos and Joe Flora; and a sister, Mary Ullery. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Michael Chapel, West Manchester, followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. at Price's Creek Old German Baptist Church. The Home Brethren and Dean Denlinger will officiate. Burial will be in Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester
