John Bielinski, 88, Route 2, Denmark, died Friday night at a Green Bay nursing home. He was born Dec. 10, 1894, in Denmark, son of the late Stanley and Josephine (Podlasek) Bielinski.
He was a veteran of World War I. He married the former Clara Watzka May 24, 1921. He resided at Langes Comer all his life. He farmed and was employed by the Schuster Construction Co. until retiring in 1959.
He was a member of All Saints Holy Name Society, the American Legion Post 363, of the Veterans of World War 1 barracks 1199 and the Laborers International Union Iocal 539.
He is survived by his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Viola and Willard and Josephine, all of Denmark, and Lonnie and Marketta of Fontana, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Henry Daroa of Fontana, Calif, and Betty and Leo Malewski of Route 3, Denmark; five brothers, George, Route 3, Green Bay, Joseph of Littleton, Colo, Frank and Theodore of Green Bay and Walter of Denmark; three sisters, Frances Mancheskj of Green Bay, Margaret Sloma of Chicago and Victoria Ronk of Denmark; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jake and Tony; two sisters, Annie and Sophia.
Friends may call at the Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, after 4 p.m. Tuesday. A Holy Name rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Tuesday and an American Legion memorial service at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday
