"Ebenezer2 Miller (Thomas1), born at Springfield, Mass., 25 Aug. 1667, died there 6 Jan. 1754; married at Springfield, 16 Oct. 1690, Hannah Keep, born at Springfield, 28 June 1673, died by 1744 (not mentioned in husband's will), daughter of John and Sarah (Leonard) Keep.
"He requested 10 acres of land from the Town of Springfield, 14 Mar. 1698/9, and it was granted 10 Mar. 1701/2. He was chosen a fence viewer, 12 Mar. 1694/5, and 9 Mar. 1707/8; surveyor for highways, 10 Mar. 1701/2, and 10 Mar. 1712/13; packer, 9 Mar. 1702/3; Constable, 13 mar. 1704/5, and 13 May 1706; and hayward, 9 Mar. 1707/8. The Town made grants for maintaining schools in the different precincts, and Ebenezer Miller, Sr., 2as appointed to disburse the school money for Paucatuck and Tatham, 1739, 1732, 1733 and 1735."
