Mrs. Stancey Charnecki, 76, widow of the late Ignatius Charnecki of Silver Lake Township and mother of 13 living children, died at her home, 217 Victoria Street Fairmont, last night. She had suffered a heart ailment for about two years.
Mrs. Charnecki was born April 26, 1881 at Lamont, Ill. She was married at East Chain October 3, 1899 to Ignatius Charnecki, who died in 1949. They farmed in Silver Lake Township for 43 years until they retired in 1942 and moved to Fairmont.
Surviving are sons Frank, Joseph, Mike and Paul of Fairmont; John and Leo of Chicago; Anton, living in Massachusetts; daughters Elizabeth Charnecki, Mrs. John Nowicki, and Mrs. Vincent Blachowski all of Fairmont; Mrs. Ed Stefanski and Mrs. Howard Roe of Chicago; Mrs. Ed Kennedy of Armstrong and Mrs. Sidney Swanson of Elmore.
Three children and a brother and sister are deceased. There are 36 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters also survive. They are John and Peter Pytleski of Fairmont; Mike Pytleski living in California; Mrs. John Korolewski and Mrs. Ed. Petrowiak, both of Fairmont, and Sister M. Hedwig is residing in South Dakota.
Funeral services will be 9 A. M. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Ambrose Layne, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery in East Chain. Friends may call at the Goodell Funeral Home in Fairmont where the rosary will be recited at 8 P. M. today and tomorrow.
