Helen Babbs Pittman of Campbellsville, KY passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was 67.Born March 1, 1949 in Salem, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Maysel Alvina Adkins Babbs. She was a homemaker and attended God's Friendship Chapel in Campbellsville, KY. Helen loved her pets and enjoyed sewing and working in her flowers.Survivors include two sons, James Allen (and Anna) Pittman of Tennessee and Delmer Edward (and Lana) Pittman, Jr. of Campbellsville; two daughters, Rebecca Sue Pittman and Helen Roseann (and Russell) Jefferson, both of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, William (and Dorothy) Knight of Idaho; and three sisters, Betty (and Robert) Sharpe of Indiana and Carol (and John) Johnson and Ester Lynn Lawrence both of Florida.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Delmar Edward Pittman, Sr., who died August 16, 2007; a brother, Thomas Babbs; and a sister, Janice Babbs.Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery.Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home and will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until funeral service.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made online to ASPCA at www.aspca .org. Pallbearers are Eddie Pittman, Jeff Dobbs, Larry Pittman, James Pittman, James Baker, and Aaron Dobbs.
