Norma Lee (Bratcher) Phillips, 84, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on March 5, 1932 in Thomas, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Clarence John and Clara Jane (Ketcherside) Bratcher. Norma went to be with her heavenly father on Friday December 16, 2016 in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Norma married her best friend and love of her life, Edward Wesley Phillips on November 13, 1952 at the Church of the Nazarene in Elk City, Oklahoma. Edward preceded her in death on September 27, 2016. Shortly after being married Norma and Edward moved to California. Later they became the owners of Landmark Bowl in Pomona, California. Eventually Norma and Edward made their home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Norma was a past volunteer at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City, Oklahoma. She loved crocheting, gardening and cooking for her family in friends. Norma mostly loved spending time with her family and friends. She was member of the First Assembly of God Church in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the First Assembly of God in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Kevin Akins will be officiating. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Norma is survived by two daughters, Robin Karrer and her husband, Jeff of Tucson, Arizona, and Ronda Kilhoffer of Elk City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Robert Miller of Elk City, Oklahoma, Ragina Bustamante of Tucson, Arizona, Kevin Karrer and his wife, Danielle of Riverside, California, Adam Karrer and his wife, Michelle of Laverne, California, Kassi Schones and her husband, Adam of Canute, Oklahoma, and Kori Kilhoffer and his wife, Shaylee of Weatherford, Oklahoma; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Malone and her husband, David of North Richland Hills, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Bratcher, husband, Edward Wesley Phillips; sister, Jearl Deen Tucker and her husband Bobby Joe Tucker; and brother, John Bratcher.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, 600 W. Country Club Blvd, Elk City, Oklahoma 73644.
