David Reyna Sr., 84, born May 8, 1932, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Rosenberg. David was surrounded by his beloved family. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Templo Gethsemani in Rosenberg with interment following at Rosenberg City Cemetery. A prayer service will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home.
David was married on January 15, 1954 to the late Sixta Melendez Reyna devoted wife of 54 years. They were blessed with 12 children, 40 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
David worked for the Texas Highway Department until 1966. He then went on to become a Master Carpenter for 41 years.
David is preceded in death by his wife, Sixta Melendez Reyna; infant daughter Ruth Reyna, grandsons, Antonio Martinez III , William Shane Ryder; great grandson, Natanael Miguel Martinez; son-in-law, Carlos Leal Gamino; and daughter-in-law, Tina Rodriguez; parents, Felix Reyna and Florencia Burciaga; brothers, Adam Ramirez, Daniel Reyna, Raymond Reyna; and sisters, Beatrice Sanchez and Noemi Cabrera.
David is survived by his son, David Reyna Jr.; his daughters and their husbands, Magdalena and William Ryder, Margarita and Juan Barrios, Noemi and David Hernandez, Diana and Antonio Martinez, Alisia and Jose Ramos, Maria and Daniel Vasquez, Ruby and Robert Segura, Virginia and Raul Lopez, Linda and Raul Rubalcaba, Florencia and Jaime Perez. David is also survived by his brothers, Isaias and Felix Reyna and five granddaughters that he raised and loved as his own daughters, Ruth Ann Carter, Rosie Jamie Martinez, Josie Reyna, Kimberly Reyna, and Irene Reyna Romero.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
