David Kevin Nix, 56, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his home. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

David was born on August 12, 1960 in Germany, a son of Henry and Florence (Johnson) Nix.

David was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved NASCAR – especially numbers 88 and 3. He enjoyed watching sports, eating out and going gambling on the boat. He was very good hearted and always willing to help anyone.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Blew; siblings, Ruth (Roland) Leder, AL, Tara (Christopher) Wood), CT, James "Beau" (Bridget) Nix, FL, and Deidre Nix, CT; nieces and nephews, Travis and Natalie Leder, Laura Matina, Joshua Guest, and Connor and Corey Nix and many other family members who loved him dearly including eight "in-laws", 12 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews.
