He was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Irondale, the son of the late Charles and Ina (Davis) Nicholson. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death on April 15, 2016, by his wife, Elizabeth J. (Roseberry) Nicholson, whom he married June 1, 1957. He was also preceded in death by three brothers: B. Howard “Bud”, David L., and Bruce Eric Nicholson.
Donald served in the United States Army and was employed as a truck driver for Groendyke Transport.
Survivors include one daughter: Cynthia Moehrig of Angleton, Texas; two sisters: Jane Taggart of Columbiana and Dana Kay Anderson of Empire; and one brother: Dorman Nicholson of Elkhart, Ind. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Jamie, Amber, and Ashlee.
Burial was in Highlandtown Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville was entrusted with arrangements.
