Catherine May Potts, age 94, of Lilburn, GA went to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 15, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Linda May and James Harry Rexrode; husbands, Calvin Maynard Cauley and William Sherman Potts; and by her son, Larry Sherman Potts.

She is survived by her daughter, five grandchildren.

Cathy grew up in Arlington, Virginia with nine older brothers and sisters whom she dearly loved. She married Calvin Cauley, who died 6 months later, serving our country in the army. Later she married Sherman Potts, adopted Larry and then gave birth to Linda. Cathy and Sherman were transferred to Georgia in 1965.

Cathy was a homemaker and a much-loved member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Her second husband and father of their children, Sherman, passed away in 1981. She was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; and many were amused by her wit.

A memorial service honoring the life of Cathy will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1826 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn, GA, 30047. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church on Sunday from 1:30 PM until the time of service. For those who desire to make donations in lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1826 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn, GA, 30047.
