Doris H. Moore, age 88, of Douglasville passed away Sunday, January 07, 2018. She was born in Sylacauga, AL on December 17, 1929, daughter of the late Earl John Hendrix and the late Ollie Arizona Dixon Hendrix. Doris retired after 40 years of service with AT&T, and she was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Guy and Julie Moore; grandchildren, Brian Moore and Connor Moore; brothers, Robert Hendrix, Michael and Shirley Hendrix, and Donald and Shirley Hendrix; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace W. Moore; sister, Bonnie Holmes; brothers, Loy Hendrix, Kenneth Hendrix, J.D. Hendrix, and Alfred Hendrix.
There was a graveside service held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Holmes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society for Research at www.cancer.org or 1-800-227-2345.
