Revolutionary War (?) veteran - Technically his documented service was in 1774-1775 in Dunmore's War, a colonial Indian conflict before the Revolutionary war. He served as a soldier at Fort Pitt for 142 days under Captain David Rogers. Payroll records credit him with 10:14:6. His residence during the Revolutionary War was Augusta, Virginia. The grave marker credits him with service in the "Continental Line", but that is now recognized as not documented well by historical records.
