Sgt. Tom Paxton was a cousin to my Great-Great Grandfather Thomas M. Paxton. Sgt. Thomas Paxton's birth date is 9/9/1836. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I have also put together a book with ~ dozen letters he wrote to his cousin Ella Sept 18, 1861 to April 5, 1864. The letters themselves are in the Pearce Museum Corsicana, Texas. Two of his brothers were also in the Army of the Potomac, different unit than Tom,... Wilson N Paxton and John R. Paxton Best regards, John W. Sherwood
