Theresa Ann Waldoch, age 78, of Stevens Point, passed into heavenly peace on December 11, 2016, serenaded by her most loved music and being remembered in prayer by those who she faithfully kept in her prayers.
Theresa was born February 27, 1938 the daughter of Theodore and Frances (Zalewski) Waldoch. Theresa graduated from St. Joseph Academy as a postulant, eventually professing her final vows as Sister Mary Celeste with the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis. She earned her teaching degree at age 18 and lovingly taught first graders at various Catholic schools for 17 years, before retiring and leaving the convent due to serious health challenges.
She volunteered at St. Michael's Hospital, River Pines Health Care Center, and the American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the St. Peter Parish Rosary Society and St. Casimir Parish Christian Women's Society.
Survivors include twin sisters Mary C. Klismith, Stevens Point and Margaret K. Sikorski, New Berlin; sister-in-law: Judy Waldoch, Milwaukee; Richard Gerloski, former brother-in-law, Milwaukee; nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins, and special friends, including Judy Marquard and Rosemarie Basco, all thank her for teaching them about joy, thanksgiving, love of life, taking one day at a time, and staying positive and cheerful.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rita Gerloski, and brothers Theodore Waldoch and James Waldoch. She will be remembered as a good and loving daughter and sister, who made everyone feel good.
Theresa's family extends a heartfelt thanks to Deanna and Juliana at Community Care Connections of Wisconsin; Rev. Arul Joseph V; Jane Blanchard, homecare giver; director and staff of North Crest and North Haven Assisted Living Centers; and the nurses and volunteers of Heartland Hospice Care.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Visitation from 9:00 am - 10:15 am in the St. Peter Church Faustina Room. Burial will be at St. Casimir Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
This Christmas, Theresa will be caroling with the angel band, wearing her big smile, sharing chocolate chip cookies, and enjoying a chocolate shake.
