REED, FAYE, 84, passed away Monday, January 8, 2007 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Central, IN on February 13, 1922, the daughter of Mason and Anna Richard Shireman. She was the wife of Burl Reed for 52 years. She had been an employee at Keller Manufacturing in Corydon, a homemaker, farmer and pillar of the community. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Central. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who passed away in 1996, and one sister, Ruth Brown, who passed away in 2000. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many loving neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon on Thursday at 10a.m. with Rev. Gilbert Duley officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Thursday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church in Central.

Faye Reed, 84, Mauckport, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born Feb. 13, 1922, in Central, she was the daughter of the late Mason and Anna Richard Shireman. She was the wife of Burl Reed for 52 years.
She had been an employee at Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon, a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Central.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Burl Reed, who died in 1996, and a sister, Ruth Brown, who died in 2000.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 11, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Gilbert Duley.
Pallbearers: Claude and John Powell, John Hoehn, Wayne Shickles, Will Kirk and Roger Reed.
Honorary pallbearers: Cecil Garmon, Larry Melton, Jack Merk, David Hisey, Billy Ray Reed and Harold Dillman.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Bethel United Methodist Church.
