Josephine and her sister Mollydine were twins.

Josephine spent her last 1 year 3 months at the Western State Mental Hospital in Bolivar, Tennessee. Her Death Record shows Leukemia and Senile Psychosis. After she died her brother Finis picked up her Body and took to be buried at Jolley Springs Cemetery in Weakley County where her parents and other family members are buried.

Josie's brother James E. Alexander also died at Western State Mental Hospital. He is buried in the Grave Yard at the Hospital.
