Bobbie Nell Wynn, 81, of Ocilla, Georgia died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Ocilla Baptist Church with the Rev. Rob Dowdle officiating. Interment will follow in Pinetta Cemetery, Irwin County.

Mrs. Wynn was born April 23, 1935, in Cleburne County, Alabama, to the late Edward Eugene & Erma Wright Adamson. She began her education in 1941 at Waterloo, one of ten different grammar schools in Irwin County at the time. She made history with her Irwin County High School classmates in 1953 as the first 12th grade class to graduate in Irwin County. Mrs. Wynn earned her nursing degree in 1966 from ABAC and in 1982, graduated with her nurse practitioner degree from Emory University. She retired from the State of Georgia as a district director with the South Georgia Health District – Public Health. Mrs. Wynn was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a past president of the Ocilla Pilot Club. She loved to arrange flowers and paint. She was a member of Ocilla Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; 5 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wynn; a granddaughter, Candice Wynn Fletcher; and a brother, Edward Eugene Adamson, Jr.
