Mary Ann Valentine, 60, of Kenton, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on January 14, 1956 in Dyersburg, to the late Raymond and Edna Crowder Wells.

She was a cafeteria worker at Dyer Nursing Home. Mary was also a member of Independent Free Holiness Church.

Services for Mrs. Valentine will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Stires officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, J.M. Valentine of Kenton; a son, James Randall Valentine of Kenton; four daughters, Sabrina Vernon and husband, Joe, of Ridgely, Tonya Blythe of Moncks Corner, SC, Stacey Hatton and husband, Norm, of Niceville, FL and Stephanie Brown and husband, Mike, of Panama City, FL; two brothers, Kurt Wells and wife, Becky, of Newbern and Kenneth Wayne Wells and wife, Sandra, of Hernando, MS; twelve grandchildren, Jack Sweatman IV, Danielle Grimes, Luke Brown, Garrett Brown, Tabitha Stemmet, Seth Fairchild, Travis Hatton, Crystal Hatton, Ricky Hatton, Jamie Hatton, Nathan Valentine and Noah Valentine; and three great-grandchildren, Jayden Sweatman, Jack Sweatman V and Jessalyn Sweatman.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Aldon "Boodle" Wells and Allen Ray Wells.

Pallbearers will be Jad Doop, Kurt Wells, Kent Wells, Allen Wells and Mark Rickman.
