SACRAMENTO - Clifford Adkins, age 86, of Sacramento died Friday, December 9, 2016 at Heartford House in Owensboro. Mr. Adkins was born June 13, 1930 in Madisonville. He was the owner of Adkins Electric and Hardware for 41 years and was an electrician and farmer. He was a member of Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his son Jeff Adkins; parents Frank and Mag (Coleman) Adkins and sister Thelma Dexter.
He is survived by his daughters Gail Ellis of Sacramento, sons Freddie (Marilyn) Adkins of Sacramento and David (Connie) Adkins of Owensboro; grandchildren Chris Ellis, Heather Justin Adkins, Ashley Faith, Kasey Adkins, Cameron and Cody Adkins, Dalton Adkins; great grandchildren Treysen and Carsen Ellis, Laila and Leigha Adkins and Aidan Faith; daughter-in-law Karen Adkins; sister Mae Lou Lewis of Bremen.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11 AM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sacramento with Bro. Steve Delashmit officiating. Burial will be in Free Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 4-8 PM.
