Maxine Eastin, 83, Neosho, died December 9, 2016 at Mercy in Joplin. She was born March 7, 1933 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of William David and Mary (Mayfield) Hopkins. Maxine moved to Neosho from Springfield in 1970. She owned and operated the Eastin Day Care for over 30 years. Maxine and Jimmie Bobs Eastin were married October 31, 1953 in Springfield, Missouri and he preceded her in death on May 28, 2014. She is survived by three sons, James Eastin and wife, Lorena, Jefferson Eastin and wife, Christine and Joel Eastin and wife, Sheila, all of Neosho; two brothers, Darrell Hopkins and Ted Hopkins; two sisters, Vida Rogers and Jean Kleier; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Hopkins and Stephen Hopkins and two sisters, Gerry Beach and Betty Williams. A Memorial Visitation will be held Monday evening, December 12, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. Cremains will be interred at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
