Muriel Jo Brown was 86. She was born in Tulsa, OK and was the daughter of Otis and Gladys Croft Ashby. Muriel attended and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. After graduation she worked for Douglas Aircraft, then was employed with Dr. Thomas Story and Dr. Childers in Sand Springs. She retired in 1987.

Muriel enjoyed ceramics, sewing arts and crafts, and crocheting. She enjoyed being with family and cooking.

Survivors include a daughter, Alberta Horne and her husband Robert of Tulsa, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Services: Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Word of Life Fellowship. Burial is in Woodland Memorial Park under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
