Dolora L. "Dolly" Aarup, age 73, of London, Ohio, formerly of Quincy, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007.

She was born May 5, 1933, in Springfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of John H. and Maud Rummel Pendleton. Mrs. Aarup left Ohio in 1957 and lived in Springfield for a time before moving to Quincy, where she lived for more than 40 years. She married Robert W. Aarup on March 13, 1960, in Springfield.

During her lifetime, Dolora was active in her church in the ladies groups, choir and as a Sunday school teacher. She was employed by Sunset Home in Quincy and later became a home health-care person for more than 10 years.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Alicia (Jeff) Shipley; son, Jan; four grandchildren, Steven, Jennifer, Justin, Drew; 15 nieces and nephews; brother, Wayne (Emily) Pendelton; and 17 great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her five brothers, Dean, Charles, Harlan, Donald and John.

A memorial service will be held for Dolora at the Lutheran Church of Saint John in Quincy at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007.
