J. S.[sic] Adams, aged 64 years, died at his home on South Second Street, Saturday morning, after a brief illness. He formerly lived At Anderson, where he was engaged in farming, and had removed to McAlester the first of the year. He is survived by his widow and six children. The children are Mrs. Maudie Tucker, Savanna; Dorsey and Brady Adams, McAlester; Roy Adams, Haywood, and Charles and Lonnie Adams of Anderson. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sunday afternoon. The deceased had been identified with the agricultural developmet of the west side of the county, where he lived for a number of years.
