John Marshall Campbell, 84, of Travelers Rest, passed away on December 6, 2016.
Born in Rocky Mount, NC, he was a son of the late, Forrest Poole and Lillie Belle Jackson Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a retired Department Foreman from CSX Transportation; he was a former 2nd Lieutenant in the N.C. National Guard; an Eagle Scout with Troop 11; he served as Scout Master of Troops 54 & 108 in Rocky Mount, NC; a former member of the Berea Lions Club and a member of Clearview Baptist Church, the Men’s Ideal Sunday School Class and the Wednesday Morning Bible Study .
Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Moore Campbell; three children, Teresa C. Morgan and husband Perry, John Forrest Campbell and wife Debbie and Cynthia C. Redden and husband Raymond; five grandchildren, Keri Timms, Brooke Lewis, Hunter Campbell, Marshall Redden, Amber Redden and 5 great grandchildren, Caszidy, Carson, Kendall, Krew and Aria.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
Burial: Mountain View Memorial Park.
