Marie Louise Allison Stocks, 91, of Gilmer, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Gilmer, Texas and was born on April 24, 1925 in Pecos, Texas to Charles and Dona Lowe Allison.
She attended Pecos schools, graduating with honors from Pecos High School in 1942. She began working at Security State Bank during her senior year. After a short time she was secretary to the President of the bank and later she held the same position with First National Bank in Pecos.
Louise survived Banky, her high school sweetheart, on December 12, 1944 in Victoria, Texas when Banky was a Cadet in the Air Force. After his discharge they lived on the Stocks Ranch, North of Van Horn, Texas. Their first son, Jody, was born in 1946 and five years later their second son, Russell was born. The family moved to the Stocks Ranch near Kent, Culberson County, Texas in 1957. This was their home for about 35 years – 45 miles to the nearest town!

Louise and Banky moved to Gilmer in 1999, living near their son, Russell and wife, Jackie. Jody and his wife, Karen, gave them their first granddaughter, Sandi Stocks Gish and husband, Travis. Russell and Jackie added three more granddaughters, Laura Stocks LeBlanc and her husband Christen, Kristin Stocks Wilson and Chelsi Stocks Ross and her husband David. Those four granddaughters gave them 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Banky Stocks; brother, Mike Allison and grandson-in-law, Conner Wilson.
