Charles E. Hanchey Jr
Charles E. Hanchey Jr., 60, of Mineral Wells died December 2, 2016. He was born in Mineral Wells, the only son of Charles Hanchey Sr. and Dollie Doris Hanchey-Walker. He was educated in the Perrin-Whitt Public Schools.
On October 16, 1974 he was married to Mary Machelle Hanchey at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Mineral Wells, Texas. They have three daughters. Mr Hanchey took over the family business from his parents where he and Machelle owned and operated the business until his health declined and he was unable to work due to his long battle with cancer.
Charles was a founder of Tribal Sons Brotherhood mc. He was a past member of the Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Posse, member of the Mineral Wells masonic lodge 611 and the Knights of the Pythias Lodge 212.
He leaves behind his wife of 42 years Machelle, his daughter Chrystal and her husband Michael Crusha and daughter Mipti and her husband James Soule. He also leaves behind in-laws Margaret and Charles Whetstone, grandchildren, Jacob Hanchey, Sydney Fewell, Dollie Soule, Taylor Fewell, Ashlyn Soule, Hannah Crusha and Ethan Crusha. He leaves behind, Rebecca Brock and Butch Newman and children; Hunter Brock and Garrett Newman, nephew, Shawn and Danielle Lewis and their children Dylan, Kyle, Austin and Christopher Lewis. Nephew Jeffrey and Carrie Lewis and their children, Jesse Jaimee and Joseph Lewis. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and family members.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Dollie Hanchey, daughter, Jennifer Renee Hanchey, sister and brother in law, Jerry and Roseanna Lewis and nephew Jeremy Lewis.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Mineral Wells on Friday December 9, 2016 at 10 am. With father, John Phelps presiding the committal service. A graveside service will follow at woodland Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 5-7 pm on Thursday December 8, 2016 at St. Lukes Episcopal Church.
