Willie Lord was born February 20, 1920 in Erick, Oklahoma to Ora Esther and Frank Park. She passed away December 4, 2016 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years, 9 months and 14 days.
Willie grew up in the Dabney, Oklahoma area where she attended schools. Later she transferred to Erick where she graduated in 1940. After graduation, she was married to Loyd Barker on April 11, 1941. Together they made their home in Erick in the Erick community and to this union two sons were born: Garry and Ken. After Loyd's passing in 1951, Willie was married to Dee Myers on December 11, 1953. After their marriage they moved to the Mayfield community where they farmed and raised cattle. After 16 years of marriage, Dee passed away and Willie remained on the farm at Mayfield for a year before moving to Sayre, Oklahoma. Willie later met Clarence Lord and were married on March 31, 1972. Willie and Clarence made their home in Sayre and Willie continued working at First National Bank as a teller. After their retirement they enjoyed traveling with friends on fishing trips. Willie also enjoyed quilting, volunteering for hospice, working many years at the Beckham County Election Board. She was also a member of the New Liberty Home Demonstration Club, a member of the Sayre Church of Christ and also a member of the Women's Bible club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, Loyd Barker, Dee Myers and Clarence Lord; 1 son, Ken Barker; 1 step-son, John Lord; 1 step son-in-law, Don Lawrence; 2 brothers, Roy and Cecil Park and 2 sisters, Lucille Fairless and Jessie Martindale.
She is survived by her son, Garry Barker and wife, Judy, Erick, OK; 1 step-daughter, Jan Lawrence, Kingfisher, OK; 3 granddaughters, Nikki Shattuck and husband, Nathan, Erick, OK, Cindy Castleberry and husband, Randy, Longview, TX and Tiffany Barker, Moore, OK; 2 great granddaughters, Kinzi and Rilee Shattuck, both of Erick, OK; 4 step grandchildren, Rhonda Lord Chandler, Yukon, OK, Beki Houston and husband, Dal, Alva, OK, Brad Lawrence and wife, Laslee, and Brian Lawrence and wife, Bridget, New Orleans, LA; 9 step great grandchildren, many nieces, nephew and a host of other relatives and friends
