Edward Frisco "Ed" Dalton, 93, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, at his residence.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Phil Christopher officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Pallbearers will be Cody Booher, Jeremy Corley, Dustin Corley, Bill Lackey, Van Boozer, and Ron Fogle. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandy Booher, Misty Myers, D. J. Booher-Barley, and Roy Jones, II. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Dalton was born on a train - the "Frisco" train, thus his name, Edward Frisco Dalton, on July 14, 1913 to Lulu {Holder} and Henry Edward Dalton in Wister, Oklahoma. He lived in Goldthwaite, Texas until moving to Abilene in 1933. He worked for Banner Creamery in Abilene before beginning his 60 years of employment with Sun Supply, retiring June 15, 2000. Ed was the office manager and an accountant at Sun Supply. He was the original secretary of the Key City Kiwanis Club when it was founded in 1952. Ed was a deacon at First Baptist Church since 1954 and a member since 1938, being active in many areas of the church. He was a singer with the group, Majestic Sounds - Senior Adult Choir at First Baptist.

Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madeline J. Dalton on November 8, 1976; three brothers; one sister; and a son-in-law, Jerry Corley.

Survivors include a daughter, LuJune Dalton Corley, of Abilene; a sister, Daphane Evans, of Goldthwaite, Texas; two grandchildren, Edward Wayne Corley and wife, Janet, of Abilene and Lisa Michelle Booher of Wichita Falls, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Brandy Booher, Cody Booher, Misty Booher Myers, Jeremy Corley, and Dustin Corley; two great-great-grandchildren, D. J. Booher-Barley and Catlyn Crippen.

Memorials may be sent to Hendrick Hospice, 1242 North 19th Street, Abilene, Texas 79601, the American Heart Society, 149 North Willis, Suite No. 10, Abilene, Texas 79603, or the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 41, Abilene, Texas 79604.
