Dorothy G. Hutton, 88, of White Hall, died Friday, August 12, 2005, at the Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville. She was born Dec. 14, 1916, in Greene County, the daughter of Walla L. and Etta Mae Bickman Pinkerton. She married Delbert S. Hutton on October 31, 1936, in Carrollton, and he preceded her in death August 7, 2005 She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack (surviving wife, Carmelene of White Hall) and Ernest L. Pinkerton; and five sisters, Hazel Knox, Bonnie Hammond, Etha Lee "Dolly" Ash, Mary Smock and Clara Mae Pinkerton. Mrs. Hutton was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church near Roodhouse, a devoted wife and aunt. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2005, at Mackey Daws Funeral Home in Roodhouse with the Rev. Gerald Phillips officiating. Pianist Esther Coates sang "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were Lyndell Winters, Lyle Winters, Bobby Pembrook, Bob Pinkerton, Rick Smock and Greg Hutton. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Pembrook, Dean Taylor, Ronald Hutton, Virgil Hutton Jr., Larry Hutton, Donald Smock, Michael Winters and Jim Stuart. Burial was at White Hall City Cemetery.
