Mrs. Lena Campbell, 76, of Newport, died March 27 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Boyd O. Seaman. She was the widow of the late Tony Campbell, who for many years was a writer for this and other Perry County newspapers.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Pine Grove Church of God.
She is survived be another daughter, Miss Kathryn Campbell of Newport; five sons, Albert of New Bloomfield, Harry J. of Loysville, Robert L. of Duncannon, William P. and Miles S. both of Newport; 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Kathryn Kenney of Hadley, NY; four brothers, Arthur Gipe of Hadley, NY and William, Charles and Harvey Gipe all of Newport.
Services were held Saturday with the Rev. H. P. Johns, her pastor, in charge. Burial was at Pine Grove cemetery.
