ADAMCHAK – Boris N., 92, Johnstown, formerly of Conemaugh, died November 18, 2016 at Laurel Wood Care Center. Born May 2, 1924, in Johnstown, son of Nicholas and Salomia (Mikulak) Adamchak. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Andrew, Walter, and John; and sisters, Olga Bradley and Mary Stelmak. Survived by wife former Delores Kingera; and sons, Robert, Jessup, MD; and Matthew (Valerie Evans), Allentown. Brother of William, Conemaugh; Pete, Texas; Pearl Slavik, Florida; and Helen Polding, Michigan. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church; Conemaugh/Franklin American Legion Post 633; and Sgt. Michael Strank Post 5107 VFW. He was a retired teacher from Conemaugh Valley School District, and was a World War II Army Veteran. Friends received from 2pm until 6pm Sunday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh, where Parastas will be sung at 5pm. Funeral service will begin at noon on Monday with a brief service at the funeral home, then continue immediately at St. john the Baptist Orthodox Church, with the Very Rev. Archpriest George Johnson. Interment, Grandview Cemetery, where military rite will be conducted by Chas. Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
