Adolph S. Kush, of Echo Valley Trailer Park, Harris Hill Road, Shavertown, died Saturday morning in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston.

Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Giza Kush. He was a graduate of Larksville High School.

He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

He had resided in Swoyersville for 45 years, moving to Shavertown in 1992.

He was employed as a coal miner for many years, and later as a carpenter until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Swoyersville.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Andrew and Edward.

Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Vitanovec; daughters, Mrs. Diane Hiedcavage, West Wyoming; Mrs. Mary Ann Gritzen, Swoyersville; four grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Stella Pollick, Swoyersville; Mrs. Phyllis Krehley, Edwardsville; Mrs. Genevieve Keefe, Pringle; brothers, Henry, Kingston; John, Swoyersville; Joseph, Bunker Hill, Shavertown.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
