He is survived by his wife Geneva Parker Whitten of Logansport, La; his sons: Don Whitten and wife Janice of Grand Cane, La., and Steve Whitten and wife Marlene of Grand Cane, La., by his sister Mazie Goodman of Stonewall, La.
Also survived by his Grandchildren: Shasta King, Colt Whitten, Jake Whitten, Matt Whitten and Zach Whitten; and by his Greaat Grandchildren: Skyler and Lydia Whitten, Colin and Logan King, Ainsley and Levi Whitten, and Sawyer Whitten.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Allen, Tano Beatriz, Jimmy Cordova, Willie Holley, Shannon Schofner and Jackie Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were Scott Cammack and Lennis Holt.
