Mary Louise "Becky" Matteson, 89, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2016. She was born in Somerville, Texas on September 11, 1927. Becky was an active member in First Baptist Church Deer Park where she served on the Benevolence Committee. She had an early career in the administration of San Jacinto College and as manager of a local savings and loan. Later, she was active in the family homebuilding business. Becky had a passion for golf and was a great cook, but her real love was for her family. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny. They were married 66 years. Also, she was preceded in death by her parents, Julian Guy Houston and Mary Lou Flanagan Houston; sisters, Lucille Drury, Aline Rorabaugh, Ruby Moye, Ruth Morello and brother, T.J. Houston. Becky is survived by her son, John D Matteson III and his wife, Wanda; grandson, Christopher Keith Matteson and his wife, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Abigail Matteson and Kileigh Matteson and sister Dolores Wyatt. Her surviving extended family includes nieces, great nieces and great nephews; grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. The family will receive friends Thursday December 1, 2016 between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church 438 E. 8th Street, Deer Park, Texas 77536. A Celebration of Life will be held December 2, 2016 at 11:00 am First Baptist Church Deer Park,
