Oscar Andy (Pete) Brinker, 86, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, February 29, 2008. Mr. Brinker proudly served his country and was a highly decorated World War II and career Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Don Brinker. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vera Brinker; son, Dean Brinker; granddaughters, Whitney Conley and Tara Brinker-Cullen; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held noon Monday, March 3, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Sean Dobbins officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
