Corrine "Cody" Rae Connelly was born in Palacios, TX, on Jan. 15, 1938. She passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016. She was a loving mother and was always willing to give the shirt off her back for anyone.

Before moving to Sealy, TX, she had retired from the Houston Airport System where she worked as a bus driver for many years. In her early years, she coached for the Sheldon Little League Softball. She also played for the Sheldon Women's Fast Pitch Softball Team. Her fastest recorded pitch was 85 mph. She once struck out 26 of 27 players during one game.

She spent her later years at The Oaks in Sealy, TX, where she made many dear friends. She loved to play games and Bingo at their parties. She was also a huge Rockets fan.

Corrine was proceeded in death by her siblings Baby Boy Mize, Billy Mize, Maj. Orin Mize, Otha Allphin, Margie Allphin, Lee Mize, Bennie Mize and her daughter Amanda Smith.

She is survived by her brothers Rev. Jimmie Mize and Charles Mize, her son Morris Connelly, daughters Donna Connelly and Kimberly Ritter, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home, 2602 S. Houston Ave., Humble, TX 77396, at 2:00 pm on Dec. 3, 2016.
