Early Life: Joseph "Joe" was born January 6, 1929, in Provo, Utah, to Leonard Alphonzo and Agnes Wilhelmina "Mina" Madsen Adams. He was the second of four children.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: He married his sweetheart, Marian Bellows, for time and eternity on January 28, 1948, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married for 68 years and lived for many years in Lake View and Pleasant Grove, Utah. Joseph was a good husband and father and loved his children very much. He was always saying, “We have such a good family.” He loved to travel with his family and go hiking with them. He climbed Mount Timpanogos numerous times. He loved parties and picnics with his family. He was a hard worker throughout his life and he taught his family to work hard. Joseph served in many callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a firm testimony of the gospel. He served as a bishop in a BYU married student ward, as the Lake View Stake executive secretary, as a high councilor, and as a counselor in a bishopric. He loved his callings with Scouting and the Young Men organizations. He was a temple worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Provo LDS Temple, and Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple for many years. He and his wife served a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. Joseph Stanley "Joe" Adams passed away November 22, 2016, at Alpine Valley Care Center in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was 87.

Survived By: His wife; seven of their eight children: Keith (Myrle), Joyce, Brent (Kathy), Allen (Barbara), Reed (Michelle), Craig (Jill), and Diane (Kenneth) Clements; his brother, Boyd (Sue); thirty-four grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: His parents; a daughter, Denise; his brother, George (Donna); his sister, Carole Jean Bale (Reese); a daughter-in-law, Jill; a grandson, Mark Sumerix; and a great-grandson, Joseph Gallacher.
