Shirley Marlene Bandy Johnson, 81, of 628 Penland Rd., Laurens, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.
Born in War, WV, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Lillian Gilbert Bandy. A retired nurse, she was a member of Community Baptist Church in Clinton.
She is survived by: Husband, Jack Lee Johnson; her children, Sharon Saunders and husband Larry of Lincolnton, NC, Rita Pauley and husband Edward of Laurens, and Judith Wadsworth and husband Chuck of Laurens; sisters, Betty Evans of VA and Louise Fuller of Laurens; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by: sons, Michael and Terry Johnson; brothers, Jimmy and Jimmy Lee; sisters, Pauline, Phyllis, Susie, Bonnie, and Josephine.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Chris Sullivan with burial in Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 1pm.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary immediately following the chapel service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Community Baptist Church, 704 N. Adair St., Clinton, SC 29325.
