Glen Maurice Knapp was born July 2, 1930, to Maurice and Mandana Knapp in Omaha, Neb.

Glen was only 18 when he went into the Navy, but continued serving and eventually retired after 22 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer.

He married Berna Jean Adams in November of 1958 and later had a daughter, Sandy Knapp (Stover). Glen moved to Tillamook in 1969 and worked at the post office for nine-and-a-half years. He remained happily married for 60 years and was a great father.

He lived the remaining years of his life at Five Rivers Assisted Living surrounded by wonderful family, friends and staff. Some of Glen’s favorite things to do was to smoke with friends at Five Rivers, play horseshoes, go horseback riding, watch football, play cribbage, eating out at the Fern and living on his farm.

Glen is survived by his loving daughter Sandy Stover, husband Greg, grandson Christian Stover and his 90-year-old sister Marge Hartman. And nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Knapp, sisters; Dorothy J. Jackson, Winifred H. Graczyk, brother; William R. Knapp and by his parents.

Donations can be made out to the Tillamook Veterans Associations and any Cancer association.
