Betty Jean (Dunlap) Zust 72, of Girard, Kansas died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas following a sudden illness.
Betty was born August 29, 1944, the daughter of Dr. W. H. and Mrs. Thelma Dunlap.
She graduated from Girard High School and lived most of her life in Girard, with some later years in Joplin, Missouri and then moving back to Girard.
Betty was a homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother, and lifelong caregiver to her son Billy. Betty loved her family and spending time with them. She was an avid reader who loved animals, the beach, photography, and the holidays, especially Christmas. She will be sadly missed by her family.
She is survived by two children, Melissa Donaldson and husband, David of Girard, Kansas and William "Billy" Poe of Pittsburg, Kansas; two grandchildren, Ryan Donaldson and Joshua Donaldson both of Pittsburg, Kansas; and one brother, Owen Dunlap and wife, Louise of Girard, Kansas.
