Lester Raymond Gardiner, 80, died June 10, 1977 in a Bountiful hospital.

Born September 18, 1896, Salt Lake City. Married Sarah Lucille Kener, June 28, 1918, Salt lake LDS Temple. She died June 25, 1972. Member, Ensign Third LDS Ward.

Survivors: son, Bishop Lester Raymond Gardiner Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. John N. (Helen) Eldredge, Mrs. Kenyon (Gloria) Gurr; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald.

Graveside services Monday, 1:30 p.m. Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, noon to 1 p.m .at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Friends so wishing can make contributions to American Cancer Society.
