Mrs. Sarah Carter, age 92, a former resident of Maplewood, died Saturday, at the County Home. Thirteen years ago, she came to the home. With mind and hearing almost gone for so many years, it seems strange for an hour and a half on last Thursday, her mind was clear and her hearing returned. The body was taken to the home of a nephew, Raymond Milam, near Pittsboro, where the funeral was held Monday afternoon. Burial was at Lizton.
