Lottie's parents were James Clark Enlow and Nellie Rucks Enlow of Knox City, Texas. She and Arden were married June 16, 1912, in the First Christian Church of Knox City. They moved to Pecos then to Wichita Falls and then to Duncan, Oklahoma, due to Arden being transferred by the major oil company for which he was employed. He later operated an independent oil business in Duncan for many years until his death. Lottie and Arden had three children - Anna Nell, Charlotte Ardith, and James Clark.
