Born on Thursday, April 26, 1928 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Walter E. and Anna Marie Post Kemp. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Howard K. Hyle, Jr. who died in 1995; a son, Joseph L. Hyle; and her six siblings. Among all of her jobs, she will be remembered as being a greeter at the North Hanover Walmart. Betty enjoyed reading but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Robert G. Hyle, Sr. of Littlestown and Howard K. Hyle, III of Hanover; a daughter, Barbara C. Merson of Littlestown; nine grandchildren, Amber S. Carroll, Robert G. Hyle, Jr., Howard K. Hyle, IV, Bridget D. Pedone, Jeffrey W. Hyle, Stacey N. Howey, Terri L. Dotterer, Kelly R. McGee and David M. Merson; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following a funeral with Pastor Kristian McGee officiating, burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD.
