Eddie Roark, 69, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday November 24, 2016 at his home.
He was born on April 2, 1947 in Leslie Co., KY to Hughes and Maultie Roberts Roark. He was an Army veteran, a welder by trade having worked for Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville, IN, Arvin Industries in Columbus, IN and Caldwell Tanks in Louisville, KY. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the North Charlestown Church of God, was an avid coon hunter, enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gillas Roark and his sister Shirley J. Roark.
Eddie is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Martha Sizemore Roark; sons, Rodney C. Roark of Charlestown, and Brian H. Roark (Stacy) of Fort Wayne, IN; brothers, Mitchell Roark (Juanita) of Otisco, IN; sisters, Kathleen Roberts and Carol Shepherd both of Manchester, KY; granddaughter Kyra Dickmeyer of Forth Wayne.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Monday Nov. 28, 2016 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm and after 9 am on Monday.
