Mrs. Luella Porter of Route 3 died at her home this morning at 6 o'clock after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, Vernon W. Porter, and a number of children. These are Curza Judd of Jonesboro, Sidney Judd, Hoza Judd, Dulin and Dossie, all of Indianapolis, Ind., Clint and Dorothy of Detroit, and Cassie and Norman, who lived with their mother.

Four brothers and two sisters also survive: James, Charles, Elie and Frank Lewis, who reside near Newport, and Mrs. Pearl Crites and another sister, Cora.

Funeral services will be conducted at the family home at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning by Rev. I. C. Doyle and interment will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Porter was well known in Newport. For many years she brought vegetables and produce to town to regular customers and had many friends here.
