John F. Ahlemier, age 79, of Hammond, passed away Friday, March 19, 1976. Survivors: wife, Esther; eight sons, Wilbur (Mary) Ahlemier and Gerald (Claudia) Ahlemier, both of California. Fred (Helen) Ahlemier of Griffith, Irvin (Betty) Schultz of Portage, Ind., Lawrence (Willie) Schultz of Hessville, Henry (Shirley) Schultz of Griffith, Dick (Evelyn) Schultz of Arizona and Alvin (Barbara) Schultz of Hessville; one foster son, Mike Dillon at home; two daughters, Mrs. Eileen (Harvey) Heath of Lowell, Ind., and Laura (Nick) Mihalic of East Chicago; thirty-one grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters; one brother.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 11 a.m. from the Clarence J. Huber Funeral Home, 722-165th St., Hammond with the Rev. John Snyder officiating. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the John Ahlemier Memorial.
Mr. Ahlemier was a retired employee of the Bulko Oil Service on Indianapolis Blvd. and was a resident of Hammond for 33 years.
